The novel follows three men whose paths diverge after the rapture takes Christopher home. Jake, the friend who makes one reasonable compromise after another until he is wearing the regime's uniform. Samir, an Egyptian taxi driver who never believed until the world fell apart in front of him. And the Antichrist himself — a charismatic figure who arrives offering peace and ends up demanding worship.
